About SCHS
Stephens County High School was first accredited in 1932.
In 1971, Toccoa High School and Stephens County High School merged into one school. In the spring of 2008, construction to renovate the original building and the new addition began to house the current Stephens County High School building.
At Stephens County High School, our philosophy is to provide all of our students with a quality education and to assist them to achieve to the maximum of their potential. We take great pride in addressing the individual needs of our students, and to this end, we implement programs that address the specific needs of our population. In addition, our school is on a four-period, four-by-four block schedule. We offer Honors and AP classes in all four academic areas. We are very fortunate to have an outstanding Career, Technical and Agriculture Educational Center. CTAE offers classes in automotive, business, construction, cosmetology, drafting, broadcast video production, nursing, and welding.
